There are two steps to testing this application. These are the sender’s process and the receiver’s process. Each process uses a different page – this is the sender’s page. Note that no data is saved in this process. There is no database and no link between the sender’s page and receiver’s page.

Sender:

1. Choose the encryption key you would like to use for this message. For this demo, you can choose from three keys.
2. Next, compose your message. For the demo, the characters of your message must all be English characters on the U.S. keyboard.
3. Click the ‘encrypt message’ button to see the encrypted message in the gray panel.
4. You can test this app in two ways – open another instance of the browser using the button below or copy n’ paste the encrypted message and send through email. See more about this process in the next section.

Receiver:

• You can test the encryption by simply opening a new window or tab in your browser – use the button below. Copy the information in the gray, ‘encrypted message’ panel. Then follow the directions on the receiver’s page.

• You can also copy n’ paste the encrypted message to an email. Also, give the recipient the key you used and the URL below. Your recipient can then follow the directions on the receiver’s page to decipher the message.
